FedEx Home (Free)
- FedEx Home deliveries arrive in a box and the mattress is compressed and rolled in plastic. They are delivered to your front door or garage. For apartments - we cannot guarantee Fedex Ground or FedEx Home Delivery will deliver the mattress to your apartment door. It varies from apartment to apartment. If the apartment building has a designated mailroom or a secured area for deliveries, FedEx will likely leave the package there. Delivery may depend on factors like building security, package size, and driver discretion. Once the boxes are with FedEx we can not control any delays.
- We recommend you sign up for FedEx Shipping Manager to track your package, leave instructions for the FedEx driver, or even make holds.
- For large orders or larger items we may use an LTL service for shipment. We will touch base with you prior to shipping if your order would need this.
In-Home Delivery & Setup (and Mattress Removal if needed)
- We offer an In-Home Delivery service nationwide with Pilot Logistics. This can add an additional 4-7 days to your order being delivered.
- These options and pricing will be available to you at checkout once your address is entered.
Local - Greenville, SC Area Delivery
- If the delivery address is within 50 miles of (333 N Pleasantburg Dr, Greenville, SC 29607) then we offer a free In-Home Delivery.
- This includes delivery and setup of any items on your Engineered Sleep order
- For $75 we can remove your old mattress and box springs.
This does not include:
- moving or taking away any furniture
- taking apart or moving current bed frame
- attaching a headboard

**If you are in CA we can remove your old mattress within 30 days of your new mattress being delivered. Do not select any mattress removal options at checkout and simply contact us after your order is placed.
For orders shipped with FedEx Home:
If you give us enough notice and we can do our best to ship your mattress to arrive during a specific window of days. We can even shoot for a specific day, but we cannot guarantee that day, as FedEx delays are out of our control.
We recommend signing up for FedEx Delivery Manager— a free service that lets you:
- Track your shipment in real time
- Receive delivery notifications
- Leave delivery instructions for your driver
- Request vacation holds of up to 2 weeks
In-Home Setup & Removal by Pilot
Includes in-home setup of your new mattress (and base, if needed), plus removal of your old mattress and packaging. In-Home Setup & Removal by Pilot is available within the contiguous 48 US states.
With this option, Pilot will receive your mattress and contact you to set up a service visit date.

On occasion, FedEx will preemptively scan packages prior to completing a stop on their route. We advise waiting until the end of the day your package is scanned as delivered to see if FedEx is able to successfully complete the delivery.
If the package is not delivered by the end of the day, please let us know and we will be happy open a trace investigation with FedEx right away. FedEx will work with the driver to retrace their steps and determine what went wrong with your delivery. It can take FedEx 48-72 hours to complete their trace investigation and if they are not able to locate and deliver your package in that window, we will be happy to move forward with a replacement or refund.
Please note: Engineered Sleep is only able to process replacements or refunds within 30 days of a package going missing.
If a package has been marked as delivered but is missing, the 30-day window begins on the date of the delivery scan. If the package has been lost in transit and not marked as delivered, the 30-day window begins on the date of the most recent scan. We are unfortunately not able to open a FedEx investigation - or provide refunds or replacements - on any missing packages outside of this 30-day window.
You can sleep on your mattress the same day you receive it.
Our mattresses are made with individually pocketed coils and foam, latex, or micro-coils and will respond to their original shape very quickly. That being said - it can take up to 2 hours to get back to its complete original size. In some cases it may need some help expanding if the friction from the bed frame or foundation is not allowing full expansion.

It’s understandable to be skeptical—shoving hundreds of steel springs into a box feels like it should break something! However, the secret lies in the independent architecture of the mattress.
- Individual Flexibility: Unlike old-school mattresses where springs are wired together in a rigid grid, pocketed coils are encased in individual fabric sleeves. This allows them to compress and roll independently without pulling on or bending their neighbors.
- High-Tensile Steel: The coils are forged from specialized high-tensile steel designed with "shape memory." This means the metal can be flattened under tons of pressure for weeks, yet it still possesses the kinetic energy to "snap" back to its original height the moment the vacuum seal is broken.
- Zero Structural Damage: Because the coils are never bent past their elastic limit, the rolling process is perfectly safe. It’s essentially a temporary "hibernation" that doesn't compromise the long-term support or lifespan of the bed.
By removing the air and rolling the springs, we make the mattress much easier to maneuver through tight hallways without actually changing the DNA of the comfort layers.
